Regular Mail
Mail your prints to the address noted
below. Email us at admin@tailsoftherockies.com and let us know your photos
are being sent via the mail. In
addition to hard copies we also accept
the following media types: CD-ROM,
slides and negatives. For slides
and negatives the fees under scanning
services will apply.
If
possible, when sending any type of hard copy
media please ensure that you send a copy
and not the original. Photographs
are irreplaceable and Tails of the
Rockies cannot be responsible for any
prints lost during shipping. If
you have a photo CD it is recommended
that you make a copy prior to mailing.
To ensure your
prints are safe, email is the best
method for ordering digital imaging
services.

How will I
receive my Finished Photos?
We
will contact you via email for a review
of any enhancements purchased prior to
final delivery or framing. Once
your images are finalized
finished photos will be emailed back to
you in a jpeg format, ready for printing
or framing. We can also send
your images on a CDROM for the price
noted under photo enhancement services.
If hardcopies were provided,
the original and your finished product
together via normal shipping methods.
We take great care to ensure that
products shipped are protected against
any possible damage during transport.

These additional services are noted on
the Order Form.
Resolution:
In order to send your images either by email or CD
you will need to have your images
scanned at a minimal output
resolution of 300 dpi. The
higher the resolution the more
detail you will see in your photo.
Save the original size of your image as
a jpeg (.jpg)
format with 100% quality, minimal
compression and at least 300 dpi.
If possible scan your image at
600 dpi
or greater which is better if you plan to
enlarge smaller images. If
photos need to be scanned at a
higher resolution for adequate
quality a small fee may be applied
for scanning services. We will
contact you for prior approval.
Always scan
in RGB color, even if the source
photo is black & white.
Sizing: Images can easily be made
smaller but often the image cannot
be made larger than the original
without loosing clarity. Save
the file as the original size and do
not resize it. If
your scanner does not let you set
the exact resolution, you may be
able to increase the resolution of
an image by selecting either a
higher "resolution" or a higher
"quality" when you save the image.
If you requesting an image size that
is larger than the original scanning fees may apply,
upon your approval.
Quality: Images should be in good
condition and ready for print. If
your images need minimal photo
enhancement, such as colorization or
cropping we provide these services at a minimal cost. It is our goal to
keep our services affordable and cost
effective for you. Fees for photo
enhancements are noted above. If you know that your photos are in need
of some minimal corrections please note
it on the order form under "Condition of
Print".
